Act! v17 launches soon!

Act! v17 officially launches in a couple of weeks, on October 23rd. We dropped a little teaser of some of the new features in the upcoming version of Act!, Act v17, in our previous post.  Here is a more complete list of the features we think are enticing upgrade reasons:

 

Act! E-marketingAct! E-marketing

  • ACT! E-marketing Basic Included – Each license includes a free basic E-marketing account.  Of course you may need a little more, but it’s a great way to dip your toe in the Act! E-marketing pool.
  • Lead Capture Forms – Create simple web forms to bring leads directly into your ACT! database.
  • E-marketing Account Dashboards – See account reports for your account in a snap-shot, dashboard view.
  • E-marketing and Smart Task Integration – Automate your e-mail marketing right through your Contact database.
  • E-marketing Team access – Share templates, send e-mails as other team members.
  • Call Lists – know who to call based on their response to your e-marketing efforts.

 

 Efficiency 

  • One-way sync to Outlook – push your calendar and contacts from Act! to Outlook, so your info ends up on your Outlook integrated devices.
  • File management – with Act! v17 you can link to Dropbox, iCloud, shared folders, all making Act! a more usable one-stop contact manager, and saving precious space in your database attachments.
  • Attach photos – from your mobile version, on your mobile device, you can take and attach photos to the database.  Beyond just pictures, imagine snapping a picture of a business card, a signed document, or and attaching it to Act! right from your smartphone.

 

Administration

  • Web administration –  with v17, an Act! administrator can create remote databases right from the Web client.  You can also import using the Act! Premium for Web interface. Both are features that were only available in the installed version.
  • Browse Users – now, we can create Browse users for your Act! users that just need to log in, but won’t need to “work” the database and they won’t take up a license!
  • Global Preferences – manage certain user preferences at a central level
  • Inactive users – hide those inactive users so you don’t see them in filters and user drop downs!
